Thanks for this. It might be effective in an external article about Leo,
but I don't know where it find a place on Leo's web site.

After thinking about all the issues, I have decided to make minimal changes
as follows:

Home page tells just a bit more about Leo, and in a *slightly* more
technical way. The new words are at: http://leoeditor.com/ There is even a
stealthy link to DAGs.

The home page has a new link, "Learn why Leo is special", to a resuscitated
preface: http://leoeditor.com/preliminaries.html#preface The preface is a
great opportunity to give the big picture, without having to explain every
little thing. It's a teaser. It's much better, imo, than long-winded
explanations, such as the old "Leo in a nutshell".

Even better, the "What people are saying about Leo" sections
http://leoeditor.com/preliminaries.html#what-people-are-saying-about-leofollow
directly after the preface. We have been huffing and puffing to
write compelling words about Leo, but the quotes from Leo's users are truly
great stuff.

To summarize:

I am content with a *slightly* more technical intro on the web page, and
with the new link there to the preface. The preface has provocative words
(as it should!) and is followed by truly great words from users in a
variety of authentic voices.

If all this doesn't get the job done, then I am willing to say that it
can't be done.

I welcome further suggestions, but I would prefer *actual* testimonials as
in http://leoeditor.com/preliminaries.html#what-people-are-saying-about-leoto
soporific generalities :-)

Edward

P.S. This probably concludes most of the writing and reorganization of the
docs. Still to do: adding more links and adding index-related markup.
