I would never have thought of it :-) However, I'm not going to do this, for the following reasons: - The TOC should provide as complete a picture as possible of Leo's web site. There are difficult tradeoffs involved, but the present balance seems about right. - We don't, in general, delete entries from the TOC just because there are other links to an entry in the TOC. - Deleting the preliminaries entry would require going to Leo's home page to access the preface. - I want to maximize, not minimize, the chances that people will read the preface.
