I've just finished a preliminary version of The basics of Leo <http://leoeditor.com/tutorial-basics.html>, advertised on the Tutorials toc page <http://leoeditor.com/tutorial.html> as "Leo in 10 minutes: Leo's most important features".
This is the best summary of Leo ever, by far. The "less said the better" principle, has, after more than 20 years of trying, finally freed my prose. I am particularly proud of these sections: External files: @file, @clean and markup <http://leoeditor.com/tutorial-basics.html#external-files-file-clean-and-markup> Scripting: Leo’s API and DOM <http://leoeditor.com/tutorial-basics.html#scripting-leo-s-api-and-dom> Similar sections have cause me anguish over the years. Reinhard is quite right. Eventually, the docs must tell people how to use Leo effectively. But *first*, the docs *must* show why Leo is interesting. Imo, Leo's docs have never ever really done that crucial job. Now they do. This is a work in progress. Important links are missing. In some cases, the pages to which the links will refer are missing. All questions and comments are welcome. Edward -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
