I feel the same pull towards elegant code. I'm only suggesting that it will be hard to get buy-in from others to do a major project when it won't seem to affect the way Leo functions for them, and may for some (especially Edward) cause a great deal of extra work and entail some risk. So maybe there is a smaller, well-encapsulated, area in which you can start off.
