    And Motif/LessTif is a compiler?  I think you're getting off topic.

I more or less agree with you.  It was someone else who compared the
question of naming the API with the name of the C language, which is
only somewhat relevant to the issue at hand.  If you think that
raising it was straying too far from the issue, please complain to
him.
