is there any way (easy or not easy) to customize the format of the
digest messages?
we are using a digest on a broadcast list (as requested by many
users) and the table-of-contents section has a couple things i
wouldn't mind removing or altering slightly.
1) the subject lines in the TOC are truncated to a certain number of
characters... but the full messages show the full subject line...
would it be possible to have the TOC show the *full* subject line?
for instance :
"Call for Papers - 19th International Symposium on Ice: Using New
Technology to Understand Water-Ice Interaction"
is reduced to :
"Call for Papers - 19th International Symposium on Ice: Using New
Technolo"
the first one is useful to people... the second one... less so.
2) the "by" line is *always* the same... since it is a broadcast
list... it would make the TOC section much more readable to have that
line removed entirely... or replaced with a line break. i wouldn't
want this to be global obviously... as on participatory lists i'd
need it. so mostly i am wondering if there is anyway to make per-
digest formating?
i am thinking either is impossible. or highly unlikely to be an
easily done thing... but i said i would ask... and thus i am.
