#2144: shadow-4.1.0 --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: task | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: 7.0 Component: Book | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: | --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
Is this ticket the place to be discussing the shadow suite administration *policy*? Whether or not the default operation of shadow is to create a group per user isn't a bug per se, and the behaviour can be modified with command line switches. And should LFS be setting system administration policy for users? I have no issue with having an information box\hint (Here is how you can change the compiled default group creation policy for useradd) but having that in mainstream instructions is just a recipe for creating dissention as soon as someone who disagrees with you about what the default poicy should be. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/2144#comment:11> LFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> Linux From Scratch: Your Distro, Your Rules. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
