The breakage so far (apart from bdftopcf and core X fonts) is probably not related to omitting libXfont.
But now I've got another one, without any real idea what is wrong : thunderbird. I've never used this. It built ok, but when I started it I declined the offer to import settings from seamonkey (mainly because I've never used seamonkey other than as a browser), and it just sits there. None of the menus work, I think it is dead. Seems unlikely that missing the old core fonts would do this (even xscreensaver gives a *small* panel when it starts, with legible text), but who knows. ĸen -- `I shall take my mountains', said Lu-Tze. `The climate will be good for them.' -- Small Gods -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
