The Linux From Scratch community announces the release of LFS Version
9.1-rc1. It is a preliminary release of LFS-9.1.

Major changes include toolchain updates to binutils-2.34 and glibc-2.31.
In total, 36 packages were updated since the last release. Changes to
the text have also been made throughout the book. The Linux kernel has
also been updated to version 5.5.3.

procps-ng-3.3.16 was released 2019-12-08
psmisc-23.3 was released 2019-11-12

Is there any reason why these have not been updated?

For procps-ng, go to https://sourceforge.net/projects/procps-ng/files/ and is
says the latest version is 3.3.15.

For psmisc, go to https://sourceforge.net/projects/psmisc/files/ and it says
the latest version is 23.2.

I don't know if the newer versions are development or not, but we rely on
upstream to tell us what the latest versions are.

Both packages seem to be now developed at gitlab.
Actually, at https://sourceforge.net/projects/psmisc/files/, they say the
latest version is 23.3
and also, there is procps-ng-3.3.16 at sourceforge, but they say the project
has moved completely to gitlab:
https://gitlab.com/procps-ng/procps/-/tags

OK, I'll have to update the LFS currency script.
