Thanks for the link.

Ignoring, for the moment, whether or not it should be updated to
something newer than 2.11, if the _host_ system is running glibc >=
the specified version then all should be well.  But if the LFS glibc
is newer than what is on the host system I *assume* you will be open
to odd failures (depending on what has been added to various
versions of glibc over the years, and how old the host glibc is).

And yes, an explanation would be useful.
