If you have a truly critical production system you should probably be using a distro from a reputable vendor (Red Hat?) with paid support. However I think there are a lot of LFS users running stable production systems with it - it would be mighty interesting to know who, what and why, though. I just build my SOHO's with it, and I'm a retired old chap.
