Hello everyone,

While a bit ahead of planned schedule, I am pleased to announce the
first release candidate of the Linux From Scratch 7.6 systemd book. This
release brings updates to 27 packages since 7.5 release, including
GCC-4.9.1, Glibc-2.20 (*), Linux-3.16.1, Perl-5.20.0 and systemd-216
among others. For a full list of changes, consult the "What's new since
the last release" available from [1] and "ChangeLog" available from [2].

I encourage everyone to try this book so we can make the final release
as good as possible. Issues can be reported on lfs mailing lists and LFS
trac [3]. Be sure to select Version: "systemd" so I can distinguish the
issues specific to the systemd book.

You can read the book online [4] or download it from [5] to read it locally.

Big thanks goes to Dj Lucas for helping me keep the book up to date
during certain time period.

(*) Glibc-2.20 hasn't been released yet and I decided to use a snapshot
hosted at LFS server because Glibc-2.20 release is imminent. The
snapshot was created using the instructions mentioned at
http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/lfs-dev/2014-August/069512.html,
but against the latest revision. I expect the final release to use the
official Glibc-2.20 tarball.
