There are so many things wrong with your post.

1. 34 seconds with -j1.  I do not believe it unless you are running
at perhaps 8GHz.  But that is not an important error, it just makes
it hard to believe anything you write (and if you are indeed
overclocking, you can keep all the pieces whenever the compile
breaks).
