There's no need to specify that. Typing commands separately when they are supposed to be done on the same command line is just one of many ways to goof up when entering commands from the book, and we can't account for every possibility. In general, all of the commands in the book are expected to be run exactly as they are, and if the user does anything differently, that's on them.
