If you look at the latest book, notice the parenthetical statement:
"The output of the last command (allowing for a lib64 directory on 64-bit
hosts) should be:
attempt to open /lib/libc.so.6 succeeded"

It might cut down on your questions if you would check the development
book instead of questioning things published over a year ago.
It takes time to address your concerns and we generally don't mind doing
that. However, it does waste our time going over old issues that are
already fixed.
