Hmm, i retried that on a LFS machine (previous rendering was on
ArchLinux) and the font size is still small. I stepped back to fop-2.3 
as well as to fop-2.1, but nothing changes...
The JDK on my LFS is openjdk-8.

I rendered my own stuff on higgs just for testing and et voila, font
size is big. Something must be different on higgs and LFS (and even
ArchLinux).
