Sorry Sally, The 1.8 million Yahoos haven't been hacked. Their communication streams have been copied at the network routers, while they were using the camera for what it was designed. Transmit their video to the other party. Blocking a camera (and muting it's microphone) are wise things to do, but here Yahoo had 'forgotten' to implement end-to-end encryption. Guido.
