Interesting. Last time I checked, Republicans brought us the successfully bloody war in Iraq, the PATRIOT Act, TSA, no-knock and no-notification warrants, a de facto national ID card via the REAL ID Act, further socialization of health care, and even attempted to eliminate attorney-client privilege, among other things. Of course, plenty of Democrats also went along for the ride, but they werent the majority who pushed, promoted and strong-armed these proposals. Republican majorities brought these travesties to fruition. Id call all of those actions threats to liberty and the individuals who committed them enemies of libertarians. In the words of Dick Cheney, big time. Given that it is 2005 and not 1985, lets try paying attention Vic: Republicans control the Administration, House, Senate and Supreme Court. So, exactly how are they not the biggest threat to libertarians today? Republicans are a bigger threat to liberty today than the fractured Democrats could ever hope to be, especially given their propensity to talk the talk but not walk the walk. They hoodwink the politically naïve and Kool-Aid drinkers alike into believing their lies, while doing the opposite of what they preach.
