What's wrong with Pete DuPont? He ran a fine race. And except for the Drug War deal, he was quite libertarian. And many, many libertarians, particularly Cato Institute types supported him.
A "Pete DuPont" type is PRECISELY what the LP needs. Someone who is a minor celebrity, semi-retired from politics. Gary Johnson would be the absolute best for the LP.
