Geof, Obviously, the main constitutional issue in public school is forced prayer, but that is not the only one. Let me explain. The Muslim is called to prayer five times a day. The ritual is lengthy and involves kneeling and bowing and interacting with sacred props and a loudspeaker. How do you view this activity conducted by children during the school day?

The only violation of the 1st Amendment would be if someone was forced to pray. Any voluntary prayer is totally within the free exercise of religion. Even those who are compelled to attend public schools are in no way compelled to pray. ForumWebSiteAt http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian Yahoo!
