As much as I respect Savage for his intellect and wit, I think he is also wrong on this. Foreigners, including Red Chineese, S. Koreans, Arabs, and Singapore, run operations in ports (sea and air) all over this country. There is little reason to suspect that DPW's operation is any less secure than Saudi Air's operations at airports. Considering that we base a number of US warships at Dubai ports (with US military security), we should be able to trust DPW operations in this country. The real question here is about what the Feds are doing for all of our port security (very little). That has nothing to do with Dubai. The other point here is, why are there no US companies interested in this contract? I can't believe there's no money to made, otherwise P&O wouldn't be doing it in the first place.
