Your post could also be said to misunderstand the nature of
responsibility.
This is the same form of argument which rationalizes Arab terrorism
against Israelis because of US foriegn policy.  Or, closer to home,
which makes excuses for urban crime and misbehavior becuase of slavery.
Yes, prohabition is wrong.  That is abundantly clear.
That is NOT an excuse in ANY way to explain away the crime associated
with the drug trade.  There is NO excuse for criminal gangs, urban
crime, or terrorism, regardless of the 'root causes' as the social
apologists like to rationalize.
