Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah. This is a case of you all totally and completely misquoting me.
I have NEVER called George W. Bush an "extremist libertarian." That was a quote from The Fortune Magazine Editor Jeff Birnbaum from 2004 when he said roughly, "Bush is running as an extremist libertarian, wanting to cut government everywhere." I have posted Friedman's quote, many times with a tongue in cheek comment like "really Jeff." I've also raised the question how it is that LP Libertarians can bash Bush so much when people in the mainstream media view Bush as a deep spending cut advocate of libertarianism. But I have never called Bush an "extremist libertarian," and to the best of my knowledge a "libertarian." Perhaps his brother Jeb? But not the big brother George. --- In [email protected], James Landrith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > You'll have to ask Eric. That's his bizarre schtick.
