Actually, I'd describe them as more Anarchist-type Escapist Ayn Rand
followers. They are literally attempting to create a "Gult's Gulch"
way up in the Mountains of Western Montana.

They all call themselves "Libertarians" and are closely affiliated
with Montana Libertarian Party Chairman Mike Fellows in nearby
Missoula. But I'd say they're a bit beyond Libertarian, well into
the Hardcore Libertarian category.

The one of the bunch who has been elected to the City Council was
elected under the Republican ballot, so technically he's a
Republican. One cannot get elected in Granite County running on any
other ticket.

And it should also be noted that the Secretary of the Libertarian
Party of Montana, a close friend of LP State Chair and 2006 LP
statewide Congressional candidate Mike Fellows is a currently
elected Republican State Senator.
