It's been a quiet week in Arizona One. Lots of catching up on lots of little things - plenty of blogging <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php> , questionnaires <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/issues/questionnaires/default.php> , and a new <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/media-press/op-ed/060816_The_big_pictur e.php> op-ed column on the big picture. The Flagstaff <http://www.azdailysun.com/articles/2006/08/20/news/20060820_news_14.txt> paper printed our responses to its <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/issues/questionnaires/AZ_Daily_Sun_gene ral_2006.php> candidate questionnaire along with the few other candidates who responded. Ours remains the only campaign posting all the answers to all the questionnaires we receive.
My request for an action item for this week, and through the end of the campaign, is for you to use the "comments" feature of the blogs and news sites you're reading to direct people to my Web site. If you see a news article or commentary on a topic about which you think I've got a superior or interesting response, please leave a comment linking visitors to www.SchlosserForCongress.com <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/> , along with a brief and persuasive reason for them to click it. Blogging during the past week allowed us a few smiles along with the outrage <http://www.cafepress.com/irregulargoods.17712931> of paying attention: * Humorous hypocrisy http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=82 * The incumbent protection act http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=83 * The anti-growth, pro-pork incumbent http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=84 * How special interests nationalize industries http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=85 * Privacy, snooping, and the dangers of an all-or-nothing political strategy http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=86 * How to spend $2.8 trillion http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=87 * Closing the barn door on public transparency http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=88 * The comfort of knowing the French have your back http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=89 * A Congressman who wants the government to start keeping its books like everyone else http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=90 * Praise for the incumbent, and a suggestion http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=91 * Shining light on earmarking http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=92 * Why camo is the new black http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=93 * The unpossibility of failing English http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/blog/blog.php?blog_id=94 With the upcoming Democratic primary on 12th September 2006, the media and citizens are entirely focused on that race. So, while it may appear quiet, rest assured that we're working as hard as ever, and your support is appreciated more than ever. _____________________ David B.
