First ya got to bring Mexico's economy up to par with ours before ya open the borders or else you'll be overwhelmed with a deluge of people moving from Mexico to here. In fact the economy here would quickly collapse under the pressure of so many people. As well as a lot of people (myself included) have serious issues with people sneaking over the border, taking advantage of our economy, education and healthcare and then telling me that i don't belong here or that they have more of a right to be here then i do. That is incredibly disrespectful, now you may say the vast majority doesn't feel like that but all of the groups organizing those pro illegal protests sure as hell do. I am also of the mind frame that there should be no such thing as a Mexican American or African American any more then there should be a such thing as a European American. An American is an American with loyalties only to America. I have issues with people holding up Mexican or any other countries flag in support over that of the American flag. We as Americans are better then any other countries people regardless of our race, don't forget that and you'll understand real quick where American pride comes from.
