For a guy who presumably wants to end welfare, you sure do seem to be taking the wrong tack - by creating NEW welfare. I think you've somehow found the wrong place, Chris. This is a *Libertarian Party* list, and despite the recent platform shenanigans, the LP is pro-open borders and against using taxpayer money to fund foreign aid. [My favorite definition of foreign aid: a transfer of wealth from the poor people of a rich nation to the rich people of a poor nation.] Urmas is exactly right - we should concentrate on something we have a *prayer* of controlling - our own government and its welfare policies - than on something we have neither the ability NOR the right to control - the free movement of individuals. -- Susan Hogarth http://www.lpradicals.org
