If your not loyal to the intent of the founders who tried their damnest to make you and i both as free as we could possibly be and believed in it so much they sacrificed their property and lives for future generations then i gotta say you're not really a libertarian. DC: WHICH founders? The ones who really wanted us to be FREE? Or the ones which believed in - and fought to achieve - a Strong Central Government? Hooray for the former, *Screw* the latter. A libertarian believes in freedom above all and a limited government which is exactly what the founders tried to do. If this is not the case then i am not a libertarian. DC: A) You don't seem to realize the *extreme* contradiction of your own statement. How can you reconcile the concept of freedom "above all" with submitting onesself to to the 'authority' of others, ala gooferment? B) There is *nothing* about libertarianism that 'calls for' any kind of government whatsoever. While you may wish to have some over you, and that's fine to me, just do not *impose* it onto me. I am not loyal in any way to this government but i am loyal to the ideals that founded this country and i am loyal to self government. DC: Again, one has to ask which founders, so which ideals? Jefferson, who at least had anti-centrist leanings? Or the assholes Adams and Hamilton who were centrists and federalists to the max - the King Bush's of their time?
