In our economy? no there is no room for the estimated 50 to 100 million
illegals that will come here within 10 to 20 years if amnesty in any form is
granted. When you have that many people taking advantage of an economy more
then contributing to it you get a decline in resources.
Of course there is land but how do you think they will pay for it? By using the
American economy through jobs or aid programs. Open borders with countries with
a deficient economy is supported by those who wish to destroy the middle class
and create a larger slave class to serve the rich. Since when has it been a
libertarian policy to support destroying the middle class?
Open borders is a great idea on paper and is the essence of those who believe
in the value of life but when you consider the actual ramifications of such a
mandate it is likely you may alter your view.
Instead of rewarding illegals why not support an increase in legal immigration?
Instead of open borders it is my belief that we should in fact secure our
borders and require those who would come here to work towards the goal there by
aiding in instilling
a loyalty to this country.
Globalization also sounds good in theory but when you realize that global
government will bring more rules and tyranny from councils that are across the
ocean it is easy to realize that you would in fact by supporting this agenda be
disrespecting the values and the freedom as well as the blood spilled by our
ancestors for this country.
I don't believe Libertarianism supports replacing the constitution or any of
our inherent rights with a global agenda and foreign rule. By doing so we
would be reverting 200 years into the past.The borders must be protected until
other countries learn to respect them.
