Only thing I'd worry about is users wanting to redefine the 'built-in'
parameters libmesh uses ("linear solver tolerance", "nonlinear solver
tolerance", "linear solver maximum iterations", etc) on a per-System
basis while the internals of libmesh keep using the parent ES value
for those parameters. Might lead to confusion/misunderstanding but
not bugs per se.
