Also note that mbed itself appear to be ARM driven and developed
(proof: at ARM TechCon 2013 I met couple of people known to me by mbed
blog, and they wore ARM badges). Which kinda makes sense: first ARM got
tired of feudalistic ARM7 market (which is always diminishing to
overall marketshare) and come up with Cortex-M with SysTick and CMSIS,
now they want to establish cross-vendor "quick start"/"amateur"
platform for their arch. So, while I'm having my own MCU lib (the
coolest of them all), I also think that mbed is the contender to watch
closely.
