Because paragraph marks ¶ are selectable, the behavior of Writer regarding the display of style info in the toolbar is erratic. 2. So the alternative seems to be: EITHER make paragraph marks ¶ unselectable whatsoever (which is already the case for the last ¶) OR fix the display of style info in the toolbar, and do NOT display style info when a single ¶ is selected.
