Problem description:
Spreadsheets in particular are frequently giving me the "spinning beachball" on
my Mac. I have lots of RAM, but have been trying to speed up the extremely
slow saving process. I'll likely move a large spreadsheet to Filemaker, and
avoid using LibreOffice for larger files.
I'm seriously thinking that I'd like to use something else, but can't find
anything else.

Current behavior:
It gives the spinning beachball, even when I'm in a very small spreadsheet.
