I'd never even heard of this until now. As someone who struggles with technology, I find that I become very unproductive when having these problems. It would make the concept of a "productivity suite" somewhat laughable, if I weren't struggling financially as well. It's suggested online that we should tinker with LibreOffice preferences for faster opening and saving. However - it also warns that "some of the changes may adversely affect RAM" (but doesn't say which changes!) That sort of ambiguity just causes difficulties. Thanks for your help. As a non-techie, I try to "give back" in other ways.
