Tested using Mac OSX 10.8.4 @Ivan: 1) Does an user profile reset help? (guide: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resetting_the_user_profile) 2) If still reproducible, is it possible to attach a sample spreadsheet you have these lags? 3) Can you still reproduce this using 4.1.0 RC1 version (download here: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/). I notice some speed improvements using this version, so might work for you too.
