Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blocks| |104450 --- Comment #5 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> --- Danat, please make your bugs block on appropriate meta-bugs. (In reply to Danat from comment #0) > Both files are of nearly identical word and character counts, but the 1st > file has 2,23x more pages, and as a result, I think, it takes 3,5x more time > to open What transformation of the first file produces the second? Adding empty lines? Adding page breaks at arbitrary locations? Increasing the page size? You should try to "isolate" the independent variables for this performance comparison. (In reply to Danat from comment #3) > WPS Office opens the 1st file (around 4 seconds) even faster than the 2nd > file (around 6 seconds) IIANM, DOCX is a native format in WPS office; in LO it isn't. So it's not clear that comparison is fair. moreover - the title indicates that this is not what the bug is about. So I sugges the bug be focused on the effect of more pages on performance rather than everything that makes DOCX'es open faster in WPS Office.
