Cursor Example MS Office

Hi Ady,

I just watched the video again myself. Just a quick note: the "Clone
Formatting" process ends at the 10-second mark in the video. The subsequent
movement of the mouse cursor—up, right, and then down happened because I had to
stop the macOS screen recording tool.

I can't say for sure that I moved the cursor again while clicking the touchpad,
though it’s possible that happened (even if only slightly).

You’re right, of course, that the focus should be on the paint flowing out
rather than the paint bucket itself. Personally, though, I don't feel the icon
replacing the mouse cursor is ideal — hence this ticket.

Sure, there are other ways to use "Clone Formatting," but they aren't as
convenient. Zooming in doesn't really help when I want to format larger areas
where I’m currently working zoomed out. Plus, zooming doesn't work with the
Magic Mouse for me (only the trackpad). I’ll probably just have to default to
"Paste Special" in my case...

But you’re absolutely right: the cursor needs to change, so users know they’re
working in a different context. Personally, I’d still prefer to see the
standard cursor (with a paint bucket displayed/added to its right); that way,
you can aim at the cell with the cursor while still seeing that you're in a
different mode. Perhaps you could consider that for the future?

Anyway, thanks a lot for looking into my issue... :-)

PS:
The cursor has some general issues on macOS, too. It’s very slow to switch back
from the paint bucket to the plus sign (or the standard cursor)—sometimes it
doesn't switch at all. The behavior is quite inconsistent. I should probably
open a separate ticket for that, though.
