--- Comment #7 from Winfried Donkers <[email protected]> --- (In reply to ady from comment #6) > (In reply to Takenori Yasuda from comment #5) > > It appears that IFS() itself returns the correct value. > > Correct. There is no doubt about the Result that ends in the cell, aka the > Value. The problem is that the cell is automatically formatted as Boolean > when the Result is a negative numeric value, but there seems to be no reason > for this behavior. IFS is not an openDocument function, but a function added for compatibility with Excel. Excel returns a value depending on the argument given to be returned. That value can be anything. Looking at the code, I see no reason why it shouldn't return a value in other types than boolean. And, using version 25.2.5.2 (Linux), I do get a type depending on the argument given. IFS(1;2) returns 2 and IFS(1;"A") returns "A". Given that the bug reported is with version 26.8.1.1 it looks as if we have a regression here. Currently I cannot delve deep or take this bug to solve, I may be able to do so at a later date. Should someone be able to bisect this bug, that will be very helpful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
