Bug ID: 100431
Summary: Corrupt file causes installing LibreOffice 5.1.3 Help
pack - English (United Kingdom) to fail to install
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.84 Safari/537.36
Build Identifier: LibreOffice 5.1.3.2
When installing LibreOffice 5.1.3 Help pack (English (United Kingdom)),
downloaded from the official website
(http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/5.1.3/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_5.1.3_Win_x64_helppack_en-GB.msi)
for Windows 10, it fails to install because of a corrupt file. "Error 1335. The
cabinet file 'libreoffice1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and
cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the
CD-ROM or a problem with this package." Well, it was successfully downloaded
from the internet, not on a CD-ROM so is a package problem. Another minor issue
is that the publisher is "Unknown" for the file. I have also (hopefully)
uploaded an image of the error (which includes the above full quote of the
error message).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Windows Installer file (from
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/5.1.3/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_5.1.3_Win_x64_helppack_en-GB.msi).
2. Choose "Next", the default install destination (where I installed
LibreOffice 5.1.3 successfully before trying this) and "Install".
3. Wait for the error notification.
Actual Results:
The same error occurred as described in this bug report's details.
Expected Results:
Installed correctly.
