Hi. I can confirm that something like what you're suggesting fixed the problem.
I'm on a MacBook Pro with 2 Thunderbolt Displays connected.
I've got the f.lux utility running which happened to create its own f.lux
profile. Changing the profile to Thunderbolt Display seems to have fixed the
error. Now, setting it back to f.lux does not trigger the error again.
