Umm ... how the heck does it manage to dump the heat out the BOTTOM? The CPU's heat plate is on TOP of it (just under the keyboard). There is a good 5mm of airspace between the circuit board and the case bottom (the PCMCIA slot, assuming you've got nothing in it). Having said that, Rain seems to be doing a fine job at the moment, tiny memory footprint, no user interface at all (unless you count a tray icon and an 'about' screen a user interface), it just sits in the system tray and does its job. Not only am I not getting any thermal shutdowns (so far), its also running comfortably warm.
