Not all solidstate is faster than HD's. I have a 64mb 2.5" here
that's almost slower than a floppy drive per megabyte. But some is faster.
I have a 256mb sandisk in a L20. It is darn convenient. I love to
drop the little beast in my tranchcoat pocket and take it with me. I just
need to get the battery pack working so it'll be far more portable. Add my
win 95 install and a 802.11b card to the mix and it's convenience beyond
imagination.
If I had a bigger solid state drive, such as 500mb or larger, I'd
drop that into my L70. (yeah, I'm one of the few people on this list with
/two/ Librettos. I found the 20 cheap at a swap meet because it had a dead
hd and no cables, adapters, etc)
