True very true.. I have an old card that is slow as slow can be. But the
newer ones made today are pretty fast.. Even the cheap ones you can find
on tigerdirect.com what is it 29 bucks for 64meg.. Now granted its small
but bigger then a floppy ;-)

Not all solidstate is faster than HD's. I have a 64mb 2.5" here
that's almost slower than a floppy drive per megabyte. But some is
faster.
I have a 256mb sandisk in a L20. It is darn convenient. I love to
drop the little beast in my tranchcoat pocket and take it with me. I
just
need to get the battery pack working so it'll be far more portable. Add
my
win 95 install and a 802.11b card to the mix and it's convenience beyond

imagination.
If I had a bigger solid state drive, such as 500mb or larger, I'd
drop that into my L70. (yeah, I'm one of the few people on this list
with
/two/ Librettos. I found the 20 cheap at a swap meet because it had a
dead
hd and no cables, adapters, etc)
