Just went over this on the tp600 list ;-) yes it is possible as long as it does not have a smart chip on the battery itself. The TP's have a chip that after so many cycles it blows the chip from what others have said. But you can get new cells and try.. I would use a silver based epoxy instead of soldering on the LI-Ion battery -----Original Message----- From: Clarence [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2002 3:33 PM To: Libretto Subject: [LIB] reconditioning batteries Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2002 16:21:56 -0500 From: "Clarence" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: reconditioning batteries So, like so many of you, Ive had my libretto for a few years and have found the battery performance degrading. With Ni-Cads, it was possible to recondition the battery (of course, with nicad, the most obvious deterioration of performance was due to memory effects). Is it possible to recondition the Libretto's Lithium ion battery? -Clarence Harper ________________________________________________________________ Get your own evilemail.com address at http://www.evilemail.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
