I find you have better luck just looking for LiIon battery packs of the same era as 
the Libretto in the clearance catalogues of various wholesalers (the local wholesalers 
here have a 'sale' every 2-3 months or so when they clear out all the old stuff that 
they've ordered in for people but who never end up buying them). Generally in my 
experience they've got the same cells as the original Libby ones ... the PA2441U for 
the Portege 300 for instance is virtually identical to the L50/70 extended battery, 
right down to the power connector. From what I gather, the P300 doesn't have quite the 
cult following of the Librettos so I'd imagine there'd be a less of a demand for their 
spares hence you may be able to source these packs more easily and/or cheaper than a 
Libretto pack.
