John,

Unisolar apparently makes a smaller unit similar to the one you talked about,
and it is being auctioned on ebay for $129 (starting price). It is flexible,
stainless steel-backed, and puts out 16.5V, 620 mA. It is one of those that
I had in mind, and sounds identical to what you found at Jade Mountain. I'm
not sure about the charging requirements of the Li-ion cells, though, and was
hoping someone had already done the experimentation (like Gerhard maybe) so I
could pick their brains and save $. As far as amperage, I think it just
translates into charging time (2400 mAh 620 mA = 3.87 hours), but I have
zero expertise in this area. Hopefully someone else on the list does.
