Umm ... the fact that there are extra electronics in the CF card?? I guess its the same as saying a roll of film (ie. the SM card without control electronics) costs less than a disposable camera (ie. the CF card with control electronics) because the disposable camera needs a lot more 'bits' to it (ie. the control electronics) ... but you put that roll of film into a decent camera (ie. a SM camera with better control electronics than those built into a CF card) and you get better quality (ie. better speed) than a disposable (ie. something with the electronics built in). Of course, the downside is the SM card seems a lot more flimsy ... I suspect my 8 meg card failed because it spent a few months travelling in my wallet which might have cracked something inside it ... which is strange since I've read in at least one piece of promotional material for SM cards that they're small enough to carry in your wallet ... - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
