Lots of depth of field with slow lenses, thus no worry or thinking at all
about is that in focus or what f/stop do I use. Can't do it = don't think
about it = less to think about in the field.

One way photographers get around being 'lazy' (ie. not moving around enough
to get a better angle for the shot is to 1) zoom in 2) blur focus on the
background 3) use motion panning, etc. - not to mean the techniques aren't
valid or useful, but that many photographers stop too early in the process of
hunting out a good angle on site because they've got all these 'escapes' at
hand. And as such, makes them less attuned to the natural, possibilities at
hand as beginners learning to make better photographs.
My feeling is that if you can squeeze a great shot out of little, you'll be
even better with more later.

  see www.dpreview.com and www.imaging-resource.com reviews.

Minolta X would have been a killer for me if the lens wasn't so blurry and
soft. Can't even beat my FujiFilm 40i in picture quality....

Olympus is a basic, starter good for most people. Nice thing is most Olympus
digicams have big, powerful flash.
