Hi Matt, (gratuitous snipping) > examination is that it was dropped at some point. >* Is it normal for the lid to have a lot more play moving No! I'd suggest that dropping may well have damaged the hinge. My first 100 was damaged like this, and the left hand hinge, which takes all the strain, was snapped meaning that you're opening and closing BY STRESSING THE LCD. I'm shouting because this is important! Take the front off the LCD (two screws behind the sticky blanking panels, then ease all the way around the edge) and check that hinge is intact. Even if it is fully intact, that's what provides the resistance and so it needs replacing! Good news is that you can replace it cheaply - my replacement part cost me less than 13 delivered. See David's site for the part num. >power cord to go from the battery charger Make one using a jumper and a lump to key it :-) > Is it normal for the 100 screen not to be as bright as the 50/70? Depends. The first one I had was dim, the second one is absolutely crystal clear and vibrant. I *told* you you should have bought that one from Ebay UK after I'd seen it ;-) Cheers, Nick. ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
