Thanks on the tips.

I'm just interested to start with LSO. I'm not sure if LL will stick with Mono since it has no easy way to microthread states that can be quickly moved from sim to sim. They're working on a microthread module to Mono to handle it. I'm sure they'll stay with CIL though as a intermediate language.

I've owned VS and used it for years. Eclipse has intelisense like features. VS doesn't let me develop over a network as Eclipse on X allows me. Eclipse allows me to automate builds much easier than VS. Projects are easier to maintain, include, navigate, and even sub-reference folders. There is a SVN plug-in to Eclipse that rocks! It even shows revision information right next to each filename! =)

If I recall correctly, someone was working on LSO compiling, I think
that there are some good documentation on it in the wiki. CIL uploads
are not permitted so far, since only Orientation Island runs Mono.
There are lex files floating arround somewhere for parsing LSL, check
the forums.
You probably should use Visual Studio, as it is much less bloated than
Eclipse and Intelisense rocks.

Hello,

I have an interest to write the LSO compiler. Most likely, it'll evolve
into a CIL compiler also. Please write me down as a contact for this
interest.

I've written just-in-time VMs from scratch, so only the parser code
itself would need study and the means to use libsecondlife. I've read
there was some older attempt at a LSL parser. It may be a good
reference, but it is unlikely I'll use bison as the parser itself. An LR
atomata model will help the movement from LSO to CIL if needed.

I have a Linux & Windows development platform. I do not use Visual
Studio, as I prefer Eclipse In case you wonder, I use GCC to make elf
files or to cross-compile to win32 under Linux.

The wiki stated that the LSO compiler is a future release at the time
this is written, so I figured this is a good start.

Any help on how to test the LSO uploads and not break a sim by accident
is welcome!
